About the Company: Apex Vac Solutions Pty Ltd are a leading supplier of non-destructive digging/hydro excavation, trenching, potholing, foundation excavation, jet rodding and subsurface utility locating. Through our expansion, we have an opportunity for a full time Vacuum Truck Operator to join our Lonsdale-based team. About the Role: The position of Vacuum Truck Operator is responsible for the safe operation of vacuum units and associated equipment in accordance with current government legislation and company policies and procedures.
Key Duties:
- Operate vacuum units and associated equipment in a safe, responsible and professional manner
- Follow and comply with all government legislation and company policies & procedures
- Participate in all pre-job hazard assessments and inspections prior to using mobile plant and commencing work
- Ensure proper load securement of any hoses, chemical pails or other equipment
- Responsible for transporting, loading and offloading of materials at different locations
- Understand Safety and PPE requirements
- You will be expected to complete relevant documentation for all jobs
- Drive trucks safely to and from work sites
- Work safely at all times
- Manage time effectively
- Ability to undertake some travel as required
- This role is 10 per cent driving and 90 per cent hands on manual work, must be fit and willing to do manual work
What you will bring:
- HR license
- Valid White Card
- Minimum x1 year Vac Truck experience
- Working at Heights desirable
- Confined Space desirable
- Focus on safety and equipment
- The flexibility, if required, to work weekends, night shifts and overtime
- High Pressure Water Jetting experience (highly regarded but not essential)
