About the Region
The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. The South Burnett region is renowned for its great wine, gourmet foods and recreational facilities such as Lake Boondooma and Yallakool tourist parks.
About the role

Council is seeking skilled and motivated applicants for Plant Operator and Truck Driver positions that may become available for either casual, maximum term or permanent work. These positions will be based at various locations dependent on the successful applicants (i.e., Blackbutt, Nanango, Kingaroy, Wondai and Murgon). Depending on the position the truck licence requirements could range from LR to MC class including water truck, street sweeper, gravel truck and dog, water tanker, Bdouble trailers etc. The plant licences/tickets could include backhoe, loader, grader, forklift, roller, tractor slasher, excavator, boom mower, and UD licence. Mandatory Qualifications
- Current licences and tickets for the relevant plant and/or trucks.
- General Safety Induction for Construction Worker Cert (White Card).
- Experience with operating plant and/or driving trucks.
- Experience and knowledge with construction sites is highly regarded.
