VCAA Chief Examination Supervisor

About the role

The VCAA Chief Examination Supervisor has overall responsibility for the conduct and administration of VCE external assessments, as set out in the VCAA manual and any additional instructions provided by the VCAA and the school at which they are employed.

Applications are invited from candidates who are suitably experienced to fulfill the role  of Chief Examination Supervisor. This may include experience in administration, management, education, customer service, policy compliance or educational support. 

Previous experience and a sound understanding of VCAA policies and procedures will be highly regarded.

Our School

Alice Miller School is a small, innovative, and high-performing secondary school located in the Macedon Ranges of Victoria, surrounded by beautiful areas of bush and irresistible wineries. We are fully subscribed with about 250 students from Years 7 to 12, with waiting lists for most year levels.

Quite a number of these trips are to other states or countries. We do all this while maintaining excellent academic rigour. Our VCE results are consistently amongst the best in the state. 

The Role

Alice Miller School seeks to appoint a Chief Examination Supervisor to lead and facilitate the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) VCE examination process, ensuring the fair and consistent conduct of examinations in an environment that enables students to perform at their best.

This is a casual position, with varying hours in accordance with published examination schedules and associated administrative duties annually. Remuneration is aligned with rates published by VCAA.

Training for the Chief Supervisor position is provided free of charge through the VCAA. 

To be considered for this position the following conditions pursuant to VCAA requirements apply. The Chief Examination Supervisor must not be:

• Related to or associated with any students undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2024 at Alice Miller School.
• Teaching any student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2024.
• Tutoring a student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2024 at Alice Miller School.
• Related to or associated with any person engaged in teaching, tutoring, or coaching any students undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2024, or any school personnel engaged in organising or checking VCE external assessment materials at Alice Miller School.
• Employed by the school as a teacher (excluding CRT) or a member of the administration staff.

We are seeking a reliable, positive, and calm individual with strong communication skills, a commitment to upholding fairness and equality, as well as punctuality and reliability. A natural flair for providing great customer service and undertaking processes with high attention to detail and excellent time management, you will have the ability to provide a warm and positive service to our community as well as supporting our Exam Supervisors.
