We are currently looking for Vegetation Technicians to join our team. We have multiple positions/ rosters available for immediate start including Team Leads for the right people.
Fulltime/Casual positions available with either a 2 week on & 1 week off roster or 5 days on & 2 days off roster. 10 - 12 hours per shift
Work is in and around Chinchilla/ Wandoan areas with camp accommodation available for those who are looking for DIDO work.
Job Description
- Commercial Spraying of Vegetation
- Use of Chainsaws. Brush cutters and Zero turn Mowers
- Slashing of grass and tree removal
To be successful in this role you will have
- A good attitude to work and be fit and healthy
- A good thinker- be able to problem solve
- A team player someone who works well as a team
- Able to pass regular drug and alcohol screening
- Strong safety culture
- Open Drivers Licence
- AC/DC Ticket is an advantage but not essential
- Posi Track, MR and tractor tickets or experience is an advantage but not essential
- Previous grounds and general maintenance experience in a remote site, mine camp, school, or large grounds area
- Able to follow instructions and ensure effective time management
- Previous experience working with power tools, ride on mowers, chemical handling
- Previous experience working with safe usage of related chemicals, fertilisers, poisons and pesticides, as well as strong safety awareness and safe work ethic
- Able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
