Vehicle Buyer / Trainee

Due to continued growth and strong demand, WA Car Buying Centre in Midland have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Used Vehicle Buyer or Trainee to join our successful team.
  
Working closely with our Wholesale Manager, the key focus of this role is to proactively source and purchase vehicles on behalf of the Dealership to achieve strong results and profitability.
  
To be considered, you will be able to clearly demonstrate your relevant expertise, taking full ownership for purchasing, with strong commercial awareness and an ability to proactively achieve Dealership profitability targets.

Who we are:

Midland City is comprised of 7 manufacture dealerships plus, CARCO, Opposite Lock, Midland 4WD, WA Car Buying Centre and BoatingCo. Midland City are part of the Autoleague group, a national innovative and forward thinking automotive group with 28+ dealerships across Australia.

You will be joining WA’s fastest growing car dealership which has recently won the Large Business of the Year Award 2023 and New Large Business Award at Swan Business Awards 2023.

The Role:

• Research different makes and models of cars to determine what meets the needs and budget for the dealership
• Locate and purchase vehicles through a variety of sources
• Inspect and test drive vehicles thoroughly before making a purchase
• Complete paperwork to finalise the sale process
• Maintain an agreed vehicle inventory for the dealership consistent with requirements to maximise turnover efficiency
• Build and maintain customer loyalty and working relationships with stakeholders promoting the dealership
• Assist the Wholesale Manager as required

What we are looking for:

• Understanding of buying criteria and decision-making processes
• Ability to form long term business partnerships in order to leverage future transactions & purchases
• Strong understanding of Used Vehicle operations
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to build effective relationships with clients resulting in sales
• Current and Valid Manual Drivers Licence
• Current and Valid Salespersons Licence or ability to obtain one
