ABOUT THE ROLE
Don’t want to be stuck behind a desk? We are looking for a reliable, customer friendly and fast learning person to join our Operations team at our Acacia Ridge QLD 4110 branch – Archerfield Site. Enjoy the security of this permanent full-time position working Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm. You will mostly be working outdoors in the salvage yard and will work closely with your team to:
- Ensure all incoming Heavy Motor Salvage (HMS) stock is catalogued (features details and damage recorded), photographed and uploaded to our system accurately and within the required timeframes
- Unload HMS stock from tow trucks as they arrive at the branch, sometimes using a forklift
- Loading sold HMS stock to tow trucks, sometimes using a forklift, or driving assets out for delivery to buyers
- Assist in the set-up of the auction and sale yards by moving assets around the yard in preparation for the monthly auction
- Deliver outstanding customer service to vendors and buyers by cataloguing stock correctly and upon delivery of assets to buyers
- Follow all WHS policies and procedures as required
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the branch
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Passion for salvage trucks, machinery and equipment, or experience in a similar role/industry will be highly regarded
- Current & valid drivers' license with ability to drive manual (essential)
- Hold a current and valid forklift license (essential)
- Attention to detail
- Competent verbal & written communication skills
- Basic computer skills/ability to use an iPad
- Ability to maintain quality standards and meet deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team
- The successful candidate must be willing to work occasional overtime on weekdays where required.
