Who we are 

Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) owns, operates and invests in infrastructure which delivers gas to more than two million homes and businesses, and is one of the largest gas infrastructure businesses in Australia. AGIG manages over 40,000km of distribution networks, more than 4,300km of transmission pipelines and 60 petajoules of storage capacity. We employ over 470 people with an additional 1,600 contractors working on our assets.

AGIG is leading the way for the Australian renewable gas sector, and are committed to sustainable gas delivery today, and tomorrow. Our low carbon vision, targets 10% renewable gas in our distribution networks by no later than 2030, with full decarbonisation of our networks by 2040 as a stretch target and by no later than 2050.

About the Opportunity 

Seeking an enthusiastic and professional Vendor Management Officer. This position is responsible for providing effective Vendor Management and support including the establishment and negotiation of new vendors for the organisation. This position reports to the Contracts & Procurement Manager and will work in collaboration with other divisional stakeholders across AGIG as and where required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Contributing and supporting the vendor due diligence requirements as part of the wider onboarding process, inclusive of onsite vendor visits and review of external database tools
  • Regular assessment of the AGIG’s Vendor List to ensure vendor information and assessments are re-validated when required
  • Collaborating with legal, compliance, procurement and contracts teams during onboarding exercises
  • Working with the various business units, and management to understand future demand requirements to understand and agree on a long-term supplier strategy
  • Assist with AGIG Vendor List report to support requirement for new vendor creation
  • Assisting with managing vendor performance across the Purchasing lifecycle via reporting mechanisms
  • Conduct Vendor Management meetings as and when required by the business and as per contractual requirements.
  • Updating and maintaining Vendor Management data in OneERP

About You

  • Good organisation skills and an ability work with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with stakeholders of levels 
  • Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Suite
  • Conflict management resolution experience
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • SAP S4 Hana experience will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with vendor engagements
