Renowned chef and restauranter Matt Moran, celebrated for his numerous award-winning restaurants in NSW, is taking his first step into Canberra. Introducing Compa, an Italian style meat focused restaurant, that celebrates the art of good food and wine pairing. We will be sourcing quality produce from some of Australia's leading produce, local producers, Compa has Paddock to plate at its heart.
We are currently in search of a passionate Venue Host and Reservations Specialist to join our team at Compa.
About The Role
- Present a positive first impression of the restaurant's friendliness, presentation, and service.
- Greet all guests upon arrival
- Manage the bookings diary
- Seat guests and explain the menu and concept
- Perform quality checks during guests' dining experience
- Farewell guests upon their departure
- Monitor the reservations system
- Take phone bookings and queries.
- Provide quotes and organize details for group bookings.
About You
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Host with Restaurant or event bookings responsibility
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills
- Passion for providing extraordinary service
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Embrace an upbeat, outgoing, and positive attitude
- Must be able to assist Guests and possess great Guest relations skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone and by email
- Must possess attention to detail
- Previous experience with Open Table and Square POS an advantage.
