The Cat Clinic Hobart is looking for you!
We are a veterinary hospital just for cats, a Gold Accredited Cat Friendly Clinic located in the heart of our capital city, Hobart (Nipaluna). Our clinic and vet team are growing into our freshly expanded clinic, now including an I-131 radiation facility, and our nursing team needs an extra paw.
The role is for 2-3 days per week however this is negotiable for the right applicant.

You have:
· An unrivalled love for cats (non-negotiable!)
· A Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing, or commensurate in-clinic experience
· A desire to be part of a close-knit team that values each person as an individual, fosters harmony and allows you to look forward to work every day!
· The ability to easily move between surgical, medical & consult nursing and a willingness to work occasionally on reception
· Exceptional communication, customer service and time management skills
· A compassionate, caring nature towards patients and clients
· An approachable, positive personality
· A passion for reducing stress or anxiety to patients through respectful, fear-free handling techniques
· The ability to multi-task and show initiative
· Availability to work every Friday - this is imperative to your successful employment. Please be sure to address this point in your cover letter.
· Flexibility in hours/days available and the ability to cover extra shifts during periods of staff leave will be looked upon favourably.
The Cat Clinic Hobart offers the highest level of care to our patients, with a strong focus on delivering an outstanding personalised client experience. We see an incredibly varied case load for a small clinic. With limited visits from veterinary specialists coming to Tasmania, our team has the opportunity to work with many clinical cases that would otherwise be referred. The team radiates good vibes and we get a kick out of seeing cats thrive under our dedicated care.
Our clinic operates Monday - Friday (8.30 am - 5.30 pm) and every second Saturday morning. We have a local Emergency 24/7 Vet within 3 kms from our practice that sees all our out-of-hours emergencies and cares for our critical cases overnight.
