At Creature Calls, we're expanding our team and seeking a dedicated professional who thrives in a dynamic, out-of-clinic environment. We are currently offering a casual position with the possibility of permanent part time/Full time work in the future. We are seeking a Veterinary Nurse located south of Hobart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians during house call consultations and treatments.
- Perform basic clinical procedures (e.g., blood draws, IV catheter placement).
- Provide nursing care and post-operative support in a home setting.
- Educate and advise clients on pet health, nutrition, and preventive care.
- Manage inventory and ensure that our mobile unit is stocked with necessary supplies.
- Maintain patient records and handle administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Nurse, holding a Certificate II or Certificate IV and 3 years of experience.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently to make house calls.
- A compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Current driver's license and comfortable with travel.
- Flexibility with working hours, including some weekends.
