Full Time Veterinary Practice Manager

(Salary Package $80k - $95k depending on experience)

Due to the departure of our much-loved Practice Manager who supported us for 11 years, we are now looking for our next Practice Manager superstar. 

The Gold Coast is a fantastic place to live, with amazing beaches and plenty of opportunities for nature lovers in the nearby Hinterland. It has an idyllic climate, boasting over 300 sun-filled days a year. The family orientated, outdoor lifestyle is great and many international sporting & cultural events are hosted here too. Education opportunities are excellent with a wide choice of very good private & state schools as well as good University & TAFE opportunities. Sports clubs & facilities cover virtually every sport you can imagine.

By supporting two genuine and supportive practice owners, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient operation of the business. Your collaborative leadership abilities will be showcased as you guide and inspire a team of highly skilled professionals, which include 3 dedicated customer care gurus, 6 veterinarians, a vet technician and 6 experienced veterinary nurses all of whom are deeply committed to delivering exceptional medical care and services to our valued clients and their beloved pets in our community.

About You

• You may have prior experience in the veterinary or medical industry, or you may be someone who is excited about applying your high-end skills to this new environment.
• You possess proven business acumen and hold a minimum of an Advanced Diploma in Business Management or a similar qualification (or possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role).
• You are a motivator, someone people are drawn to and trust – always leading by example to harness the success, growth, and development of others.
• You have systems knowledge (EzyVet will be highly regarded)
• You will have extensive experience in strategy, marketing, and sales development to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and the overall improvement of the practice.
• You have experience training and coaching teams to become the best they can be – with a collaborative, supportive approach.
• You have a genuine love for people – and their much-loved pets.
• You have a solutions-oriented mindset and a strong drive for improvement.
• You thrive in a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, and you are adept at performing multiple roles.
• Your duties will include compliance and business development, among other responsibilities.
• You are proficient in IT with the ability to learn new systems.
• You possess strong financial acumen and have demonstrated the ability to budget, analyse and present information to the Practice Owners to improve the practice.
• You are passionate about ensuring your team is happy and engaged.
• You are an excellent listener who can collaborate, cooperate, and compromise.
• Your warm, engaging communication style makes you approachable, even during difficult conversations.
• You have experience in coaching and training, particularly in leadership, development, and team building.
• You appreciate receiving regular feedback from your employer to facilitate your growth.
• You possess a great sense of humour that helps maintain team spirit on challenging days.
• You are motivated, focused, passionate, and assertive, but also know when to ask for help.
• You must have a current driver’s license.
