Essendon FC - “The Bombers” - are a professional sporting team in the Australian Football League. As home to 5 sporting teams, we run our AFL men’s and women’s programs, VFL women’s and men’s programs, and a wheelchair football team. But we’re more than the game. As a Video & Digital Content Creator at Essendon, you will have the opportunity to produce captivating video content for our diverse digital platforms, engaging Essendon members and fans worldwide.

About the role

As our Video & Digital Content Creator, you will be responsible for producing compelling and entertaining video content for Essendon's various digital channels, including our website, app, and social media platforms. You will work closely with our Video Lead and other team members to film, edit, and upload content that provides fans with exclusive behind-the-scenes access, engaging stories, match-day highlights, and important club news.

• Film and edit media conferences, injury updates, training sessions, interviews, and video series, with a focus on high-quality production.

• Utilize photography skills to enhance visual storytelling where applicable.

• Upload videos to the VMS (Video Management System) and assist in archiving vision for future use.

• Innovate and create new formats of video content tailored for various platforms, particularly snackable content optimized for social media channels.

• Manage and curate video content for Essendon's VFL/VFLW teams.

• Collaborate with other departments to produce high-quality content for commercial partners and various business departments.

• Produce video and photo content for club events and match days, capturing the essence of the Essendon experience.

• Demonstrate the ability to use After Effects or a willingness to learn to enhance video content where necessary.

About you

• Proven experience in video production, including filming, editing, and storytelling.

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and the ability to tailor content accordingly.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

• Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and engaging audiences through video content.

• Photography skills are desirable but not essential.

• Familiarity with After Effects is preferred, or a willingness to learn new software tools.

Please note the salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 inclusive of superannuation.
