We are a small team of creatives who serve businesses who require a spark added to their marketing and media.  We are looking for an editor with some motion graphics skills to produce engaging short form content (reels, stories, etc) as well as, when required, more comprehensive edits of business stories, promotions and conference tracks.  As a business that bridges the gap between corporate and creative, we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of their craft who are also able to tow the line with more corporate requests.

Storytellers Australia is a team of 4 (5, if you include sharky) and we work across production, marketing and design.  As a small skilled team, we rely on collaboration and team trust. 

The Role:

• Edit studio and drone content for social media including reels, stories and YouTube Shorts
• Create motion graphics for explainer videos, teasers and ads
• Share tidy project files
• Incorporate engaging elements including transitions, captions and motion graphics
• Keep up to date with fresh content styles and understand trends that have died
• Assist the studio technician in the set up of our in house studio
• Collaborate to ensure best practice in media storage, sharing and back up
• Find the story in edits and create compelling hooks and engaging ideas
• Assist with some shoots
• Edit larger projects with multiple media sources with attention to detail and storytelling
• Some photo editing and graphic work including new tech

Skills and Experience

• 2 years editing experience in a commercial setting
• Proficient in video editing software including Premier Pro
• Strong storytelling skills and ability to look for opportunities for interesting elements
• Strong visual and timing skills
• Attention to detail for minimal need of revisions of what you submit
• Ability to work independently with accountability to the client 

Bonus:

• Solid skills in After Effects, Procreate or other motion graphics software
• Knowledge/understanding of other elements of Marketing, Production and Design
• Loves Karaoke and able to submit good additions to the office playlist

If you dont have a reel, knock something up that is about a minute long and engaging.  The reel will be the first thing we look at and we wont consider applications without it.  Don't worry, everyones reel is a WIP!
