Our flagship brands and services include ABC News 7PM, ABC News on digital and social media and ABC news channels on radio and television.About the RoleABC News is seeking to appoint a creative Video Story Producer, based in the Darwin Newsroom for six months. You will sub-edit and curate the 7pm news content and execute forward planning for next-day and future coverage. You will also:

• Respond to breaking News and major events, leading the execution of coverage for video platforms.
• Work with the NT News Editor and newsroom leadership team to commission reporters and camera operators
• Work with national and state teams to deliver innovative NT video content with local and network appeal
• Explore new ways of producing and presenting News content
• Develop a collaborative working relationship with national News teams

About YouYou are an experienced content maker and/or producer with highly advanced knowledge of news production in a multi-platform environment, including the creation of video content for digital, mobile and broadcast platforms and in particular, breaking news.You'll also be able to demonstrate:

• Considerable experience producing and commissioning distinctive video content
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and time management skills
• Proven experience leading a team in a fast paced-news environment
• Experience using audience data for insights and the latest trends in audience behaviour
• Ability to commission content for digital, mobile and social platforms
• Excellent understanding on news room production workflows
