Location – Strawberry Hills

Employment type – Ongoing, Full Time

Salary – Clerk Grade 3/4, Salary ($74,117 pa - $81,158 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation


About the Office the Advocate Children and Young People (ACYP)

The Advocate works to improve the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people in NSW. The Office of the Advocate speaks up for children and young people to ensure that their rights are respected, and their points of view heard by adult decision makers. The Office of the Advocate engages with the children and young people of NSW and listen to their feedback and input.


What you’ll do


About the role


This is a great opportunity to create high quality video content that amplifies the voice of children and young people in NSW, advocates for their safety, welfare and wellbeing, and engages and communicates effectively.


A typical project will require you to film footage, edit it, and mix in some motion graphics to create engaging finished videos for publication on a range of platforms. Your videos will represent the diversity of children and young people in NSW and support the aims of the projects they are produced for.


Key activity


  • Film consultations, events and campaigns
  • Edit the footage to create engaging videos
  • Utilise motion graphic design
  • Export the finished videos in a range of formats, including online, social media, and for television

A Recruitment Pool may be created to fill similar roles for both ongoing and temporary opportunities if and as they arise.


What we’re looking for


  • Experience in videography, video editing, keying and grading, subtitling, motion graphic design, and formatting for various platforms.
  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and other necessary software for film development in a Windows environment.


Essential requirements


Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances:

  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012
