About Ngaarda Media 

Ngaarda Media offers a platform for Indigenous and Non-indigenous people across the Pilbara to tell their stories through radio, photography and videography. Ngaarda Media presents Aboriginal culture in an inspiring and meaningful way, across all digital media, to allow more people to experience the oldest living culture on earth. 

The Role: 

Conceptualize, film and edit engaging content highlighting the news, events and corporate work that we do. 

Create visual content that is appealing using drone, ronin gimbal and camera techniques to create slow motion. 

Create stunning graphics and special effects aligned to our branding

Be willing to learn new video trends and techniques while launching a Virtual Reality platform. 

Prepare and present distinctive and compelling content that engages local audiences.

Present and produce content for social media, website, NITV news and other news outlets.

Shoot, edit and deliver video content that supports our vision

Help define the scope of projects and assist clients with understanding their needs and requirements

Consulting and contributing to the creation of scripts/storyboards for shoots.

Directing talent on shoots, communicating with them clearly and confidently so they feel comfortable on set.

Maintaining consistent and tidy project files.

 About You 

Expertise in videography, editing and design

• Proficiency in video editing with design tools like DaVinci Resolve, Canva, Adobe photoshop, Adobe after effects, Final Cut Pro, Premiere pro
• Creative story teller 
• Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
• Excellent communicaiton skills 
• Previous expedrience in videography and content creation is desirable

• Savvy with social media and online content and know-how to engage
• a diverse demographic of listeners
• Passionate about local current affairs, social issues, business, technology and culture
• Agile, and have a good knowledge of the Pilbara/Kimberley and WA region as well as national and international issues
• A strong communicator to build relationships with people from a range of diverse backgrounds. 

  Are you willing to:  

• Learn new video techniques and trends like Virtual Reality
• Support and train staff
