About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a digital Content Creator to jump on board and dedicate themselves to producing fun and engaging content, as well as sharing the stories of professional & everyday athletes alike. This role is a dynamic one, where you will get to spend time in & out of the office capturing content and building a rapport within the local fitness community.
Joining our marketing team, you will be a key player in our brand communication, crafting compelling content that resonates with our diverse audience across three sporting segments. Your storytelling will bring our brand's story to life, showcasing our legacy, innovation, and the impact of our products in the sports world.
As a Digital Content Creator at SMAI, you will harness your creativity and multimedia skills to craft and execute engaging visual content that resonates with our audience and elevates our brand across various digital channels. In this role, you will lead the creative process, collaborate with our marketing team, and contribute to our visual storytelling and brand identity.
What will I do?
- Craft and execute compelling photography and videography content for use across digital platforms, including our website, social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube), and marketing materials.
- Lead the production process from concept to completion: planning, shooting, editing, and post-production in collaboration with the marketing team
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align visual content with marketing strategies, campaigns, and brand guidelines.
- Manage and organise digital assets, ensuring all content is accessible and archived properly.
- Provide creative input for campaign ideation and visual storytelling strategies.
- Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics to make data-driven decisions to improve our content strategy and develop new ways of growing and reaching new customers.
- Identify and build relationships with Content Creators and athletes for collaboration opportunities in Australia and internationally.
- Stay updated with industry developments, content trends, and best practices to ensure SMAI remains a leading voice in the sports industry.
- Work with the marketing team on common goals via ad-hoc marketing projects.
Who we are looking for?
- Demonstrated experience as a Videographer/Photographer Content Creator, with a portfolio showcasing your work. A preference for candidates with sports or fitness industry experience.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling techniques in both long-form and short-form content.
- Confident using a range of camera, video, lighting, and sound equipment.
- Proficiency in photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understanding of social platform performance and including analytics and business manager tools.
- An inquisitive learner – can self-research solutions to problems, and feel comfortable giving it a crack.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with people from all walks of life (including people who lack confidence in front of a camera).
- Holds a NSW Driver’s License with access to personal transportation. You will be required to travel in the local area to go on location.
- A genuine passion for sports and a discerning eye for visually compelling content.
