- Lead and role model professional clinical service delivery, providing expert advice and mentoring for less experienced staff.
- Ensure patient care is delivered with professional, organisational, legal and ethical boundaries and reflects evidence based best practice and knowledge.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships and networks to support seamless service delivery across health care teams and optimisation of outcomes for patients.
- In consultation and collaboration identify, develop and implement strategies and plans to deliver services to achieve identified KPI’s.
- Experience and qualification(s) in Cardio Thoracic surgery.
- A Primary Medical Degree registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons or other specialist recognition as provided for the NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Staff Specialist Agreement or the Health Insurance Act 1973.
- Demonstrated ability to teach from undergraduate to postgraduate level with commitment to own personal and professional development.
- Demonstrated ability to work proficiently and in an organised manner as a member of a multidisciplinary team and unsupervised in periods of high demand and activity.
