About the Opportunity
The Seymour Visitor Information Centre is looking to appoint a new team member to work with our growing volunteer base to help promote visitation to Mitchell Shire and the wider region. The centre is open 7 days a week and will require weekend work. This role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, to deliver our visitor services and to support, encourage and enable our volunteers as they welcome and concierge a wide variety of visitors to Mitchell Shire.
The role is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the Seymour Visitor Information Centre. The successful candidate will also assist with data collection from visitors and from time-to-time may be required to welcome visitors in pop-up locations, such as public events.
The successful candidate will be required to work collaboratively with the dynamic group of local volunteers that also assist visitors at the Seymour Visitor Information Centre. In addition , the role also requires collaboration with members of Mitchell Shire's Economic Development team to further develop our Visitor Information, including contributing to written material,events listings and digital information.
This role is a permanent part-time opportunity for 46 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster which will include weekend work. Remuneration begins at $65.7 K to $68.9K (Band 4) plus superannuation.
