Visitor Information Centre Officer
Part-Time – 42 hours per Fortnight + staff holiday leave coverage
Fraser Coast Tourism & Events is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tourism Officer to join the Visitor Information Centres in Maryborough, Hervey Bay and Hervey Bay Airport helping tourists have the best experiences possible when visiting our great region.
To be successful you will have at least two years prior experience in the tourism industry in a role working within a visitor centre or tour booking agency. You will be able to demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills and have experience working with and co-ordinating volunteer staff.
A proven high level of customer service, problem solving ability, product promotion experience and general knowledge of the Fraser Coast region will also be required, along with proficient computer skills. Knowledge of retail management and point of sale systems will give you an advantage.
Reporting directly to the Visitor Services Manager, this rewarding role will give you the opportunity to do what you love in an exciting and vibrant workplace, interacting and promoting the beautiful Fraser Coast to visitors from our local and international markets.
The successful applicant will be required to work at locations in Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Hervey Bay Airport, weekend shifts and additional staff holiday leave shifts form part of this role.
