About the Role:
A terrific opportunity is open for a dedicated Secondary Visual Arts/Vis Comm/Photography teacher to become a part of a community-focused Catholic school in Caroline Springs, in 2024. This exceptional school, catering to approximately 1000 students from years 7-10, is seeking passionate and determined educators with strong collaborative skills. The school offers support for both graduates and teachers with permission-to-teach, upholds excellent student behaviour, provides learning coaching, and boasts abundant resources.
Key duties:
- Develop, design, evaluate, and enhance the curriculum for the Arts for students in years 7-10
- Deliver engaging and enthusiastic instruction
- Stay current with best practices in the field
- Commit to ongoing professional development, participating in coaching, mentoring, and collaborative initiatives
- Demonstrate proficiency in teamwork, strategic thinking, innovative planning, and embody the ethos and mission of a Catholic school
- Teaching 7-10 Visual Arts/Vis Comm and Photography

- Receiving a salary commensurate with your demonstrated expertise, within the range of $75,000 to $115,000
- Accessing continuous opportunities for professional development
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Hold a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Previous experience in the Arts (Vis Art, Vis Comm and Photography) teaching advantageous, although open to graduates and Permission to Teach
- Ability to provide contact details for three education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
