Be a part of our Team!  We are looking for an experienced Visual Experience Manager to join us in our Sydney Head Office. As a true ambassador of the Maison this person will ensure the consistency, quality and excellence of the visual merchandising, to enhance Cartier brand image & overall client experience.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Director, the incumbent will manage the Visual Merchandising strategy planning, implementation and maintenance across all networks.

You will:

  • Act as a proactive force in enhancing the Maison image & developing the business, leveraging visual merchandising as a way to improve client experience & drive sales
  • Propose new concepts to ensure Cartier VM is ahead in the market
  • Share the VM strategy & plans with a range of stakeholders in the Maison
  • Manage VM budget and update Head of Communication on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with Regional VM/VE department and HQ on a regular basis to ensure alignment and consistency with global strategies
  • Define & implement the yearly VM plan in a timely manner, and within planned budget
  • Forecast VM needs on new animations, seasonal & annual themes via Central order (Monthly order cycle)
  • Place orders, create vendors and raise purchase orders in SAP and follow up on deliveries
  • Visit boutiques regularly and collaborate with boutiques teams to ensure boutique VM excellence and maximise business performance
  • Implement dynamic store zoning in collaboration with Retail, Marketing & Merchandising teams
  • Develop & implement special display for specific occasions and events to enhance the experience (especially End of Year Facades, Windows and interior display animations)
  • Establish maintenance contracts with key vendors and follow up on the execution
  • Management of SVM Project Manager
  • Collaborate with Regional VE/VM and HQ to develop training materials
  • Conduct VM trainings on a regular basis to strengthen Boutique/Watch Specialists VM expertise
  • Animate VM ambassadors community

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

  • A Diploma / Degree in Visual Merchandising, Visual Communications or related disciplines
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in a similar industry
  • Proficiency in project and stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of retail environment
  • The able to work in a matrixed organization
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office
  • SAP knowledge (favourable)
  • A resourceful approach to take initiative,
  • The ability to operate within guidelines and limitations
  • High sensitivity to aesthetic matters
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for training and negotiations
  • High level of independence, reliability and trust
  • Ability to travel regularly in Australia and New Zealand
