This Role will directly support Organisations to include people with disability or on a mental health recovery journey into volunteering, as a possible pathway to Employment.
Established in 2009, the Broome Volunteer Resource Service (BVRS) promotes Volunteering, linking volunteers with community organisations of interest where they make a significant contribution to the capacity of various programs and services.

Qualifications:
- Qualifications in social sciences, community development or volunteer management are highly desirable.
- Lived or Work experience working with People with a Disability.
- Current drivers’ licence (preferably manual).
- Willing to get a National Police Clearance.
- Willing to get a Working with Children Check.
Skills and Personal Attributes:
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills, including report preparation.
- Effective interpersonal and group work skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and form strategic project partnerships.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Sound computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and promotion via social media.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in working with diverse communities in a community development, community engagement, project management and/or Volunteering management context.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining partnerships.
- Demonstrated Knowledge of evaluation techniques and processes.
- This role is open to Broome residents only.
SALARY AND CONDITIONS
This position is subject to ongoing funding and is currently funded to December 2024. The role may continue and have more hours if wanted.
This position is classified under the SCHADS Award 2010, Social and Community Services Employee, at Level 3/4, depending on experience and qualifications.
Other conditions include:
- Salary 10% above the award
- 4 weeks Annual Leave + 1-week remote leave allowance
- 11% superannuation
- 17.5% leave loading
- Salary Sacrifice benefits includes Living Expenses bills up to $15,900
- Flexible working conditions
