Are you a passionate, proactive, people person? genU is looking for a Volunteer Programs Administration Officer to join our longstanding, purpose driven and values-based organisation to make a real difference to people’s lives on a daily basis. As the Volunteer Programs Administration Officer in a collaborative manner providing administrative assistance to the Volunteer Programs Team with a focus on customer service, volunteer and student experience, compliance and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Programs Lead you will be accountable for the following:

  • Maintain and update all volunteer databases and records
  • Support the recruitment, intake, training and compliance of the Program participants
  • Support coordination of events
  • Receive and distribute correspondence for Volunteers and team
  • Complete accounts for finance
  • Prepare and provide presentations and spreadsheets as required
  • Undertake projects and other associated duties as directed
This is a full-time, ongoing position due to commence January 2023.

You will be based at the genU support HUB in Geelong, flexible working arrangements available for negotiation.

About You!

Our ideal Volunteer Programs Administrator is an excellent communicator who is genuinely passionate about collaborating with people of all backgrounds and abilities. You will have a good understanding of volunteer and student placement programs and be able to deliver training to varied audiences. You will be able to work autonomously as required, to tight deadlines and with confidentiality at all times.

Essential Requirements:
  • Broad experience collaborating with people in a medium - large organisation;
  • Proven experience and ability to facilitate administration duties;
  • High level of attention to detail, including strong literacy and numeracy skills;
  • Proven ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain;
  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate or willingness to obtain;
  • Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain;
  • All applicants will be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and meet the requirements of the genU Covid-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccinations during the recruitment process.
