Form of workVR General Practitioner for work at Newstead Medical - Launceston
Located in the stunning Tamar Valley in Launceston, Tasmania, Newstead Medical (including Kings Meadows Medical Centre and Urgent Care Centre Launceston) is a well-established and locally owned multi-site practice. We are seeking part-time and full-time General Practitioners to join our team.
Co-located with an existing pathology collection and pharmacy, our practices are mixed-billing and service a large and diverse patient population. We are accredited for teaching GP registrars, medical students and nursing students.

Essential criteria:
- Medical degree
- Vocational registration or access to VR MBS items
- At least 3 years medical work experience
- Unconditional AHPRA registration
- Eligible for a Medicare provider number
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a professional, friendly workplace team
- Excellent clinical skills
Desirable criteria:
- Interest and recent experience in emergency medicine would be advantageous for Urgent Care work
- Involvement in teaching

Earning potential between 60%-65% of gross billings to the right candidate.
