ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the Supply Base Supervisor is to manage the team at WA Oil and Gas Projects is to achieve and exceed customer requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
- Oversee operation to ensure team are safely and efficiently achieving operational objectives and requirements
- Liaise with customers both internal and external
- Observe, direct, and correct operating behaviour of employees as required to ensure safe work practices
- Conduct toolbox talks as required in order to communicate key operational issues
- Observe Qube policies and procedures as they apply to tasks assigned
- Operate facility in a safe manner at all times, ensuring that any safety breaches or incidents are reported immediately to the Supply Base Manager
- Foster and maintain positive partnership with management, staff, and clients
- Proactively attend meetings and provide positive support for initiatives consistent with contractual guidelines
- Respond to any issues raised in an efficient and positive manner
- Set high work standard through leadership by example
- Efficient operation of the branch's vehicles and plant
- Complete all necessary associated documentation
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of deficiencies in the delivery of product
- Undertake supervision of work
- Ensure good care is taken of vehicles/plant under your care
- Assist in allocation of resources to improve operational and financial performance and monitor regularly
- Monitor and report monthly performance, including, but not limited to, KPI's, downtime, bottle necks, breakdowns, customer and personnel related issues that may have a financial impact on the business
- Control business costs and keep these as low as possible.

- Identify, assess, and report all known and newly identified hazards and incidents in the workplace
- Implement effective risk controls
- Participate in the monitoring, review and evaluation of implemented risk controls
- Stop work where there is an imminent danger and escalate to the appropriate supervisor/manager
- Do not engage in bullying or harassment in the workplace
- Engage in safe work practices
- Treat fellow employees, contractors, clients and the public with respect
- Follow the requirements of the SHEMS documentation including Rules, Procedures and Instructions
- Identify system shortcomings and opportunities for improvement
- Report to duty in a fit state, free from fatigue the influence of alcohol or other drugs
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and operate plant equipment safely
- Participate in consultation activities regarding matters affecting your health, safety and welfare
- Participate in relevant safety training and maintaining your safety related competencies
- Engage in Work only when in possession of required and current Certificates of Competence
- Follow Qube's required practices and procedures
- Use management of change processes for deviations
- Recognize potential hazards and unusual circumstances
- Maintain a healthy sense of vulnerability
- Observe co-worker behaviours and provide feedback
- Stop work when necessary
- Use the Tenets of Operation to guide daily decisions
- Modify personal behaviour to prevent losses or incidents
- Report and investigate near misses, losses and incidents
- Ask questions, share and apply learning
- Improve and maintain competency
- Holding or working towards a Cert IV in Frontline Management or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Current valid Motor Vehicle Driver's License
- Extensive experience in managing an industrial workforce
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills
- Ability to implement and deliver policies and procedures
- Understanding of labour management, performance management and employee development
- Good knowledge of competency based training and assessment
- Excellent organisation skills
- Experience in managing safety in the workplace, including the operations of Quality Safety and Environmental Management Systems
- Ability to work under pressure
