About Us: Bing’s Nomiya a premium Japanese restaurant located in Mackay, Queensland, run by Ben’s Buffet Pty Ltd, our restaurant is renowned for our exquisite cuisine and exceptional
dining experience. Our menu features the finest ingredients, including premium Japanese Wagyu beef, meticulously prepared by our talented culinary team. Our newest, full renovated premium restaurant is looking for the following position.

Position: Cook
Location: Mackay QLD
Responsibilities:
● Prepare and cook high-quality Japanese dishes, with a focus on Wagyu beef.
● Execute traditional and contemporary Japanese recipes, ensuring authenticity and
flavour.
● Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
● Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service
hours.
● Follow food safety guidelines and maintain hygiene standards.
● Assist in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.

Requirements:
Essential
● At least five years of cooking experience in Japanese cuisine.
● Proficient in Japanese cooking techniques, including grilling, and tempura.
● A genuine love for food, especially Japanese cuisine.
● Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
● Attention to Detail: Ensure precise plating and presentation.
● Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with food safety regulations.
Preferred
● Experience with premium imported Japanese Wagyu beef is highly regarded.
● Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays

Competitive wage: $70,000 or more commensurate with skill and experience
Opportunity for future promotion to a head cook or chef role.
