About the job Warehouse Assistant
The position of Warehouse Assistant involves a range of duties including but not limited to the following:
- Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage,
- Package items for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements,
- Ensure accurate labeling and documentation on all packages according to company standards,
- Operate Store equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, to move products and materials across the store.
- Assist with inventory management by counting and reporting stock levels (if necessary).
- Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure items arrive at their destination efficiently,
- Identify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customers
- Receive products from supplier deliveries and unload trucks at the loading docks
- Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list
- Package products for return to the supplier and fill out any RMA paperwork necessary before the shipment is picked up
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment.
