The role centres around conducting comprehensive data analysis to evaluate system performance.You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in automation, specifically AMR, acting as a crucial liaison among operations, local and global system teams, IT, vendors, BPE, account managers, and customers. Your key goal is to drive maximum returns for Warehouse Automation initiatives.WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Collect data from the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and automation control system, and thoroughly analyse, measure, and quantify the system's performance against business case requirements
- Offer real-time inventory slotting to ensure accurate product placement in Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR) and optimising throughput
- Determine inventory storage and replenishment strategies for clients, engage in rack/bins design for maximum storage utilisation, and work on layout improvements
- Develop a comprehensive performance dashboard, preferably using PowerBI, to measure and display inbound/replenishment and picking/outbound productivities.
- Monitor automation storage status and utilisation, perform SKU profiling for automation, and create an automation-specific slotting tool to identify the right SKU profile
- Provide data-driven recommendations to operational teams for improving automation performance
- Collaborate with account managers and analysts to extract automation financial performance details from account Profit and Loss (P&L) statements
- Train and mentor operation supervisors to become intermediate-level "Automation Super Users," capable of running reports and measuring system performance
- Identify, test, and implement new functionalities for existing automation and WMS sites/clients to deliver significant benefits to operations and customers
- Develop a solid understanding of integration messaging, including types, best options, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with utilising process improvement tools, Kaizen, Lean, etc.
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and tools such as PowerApps, Phyton, SQL, etc.Bonus: AutoCAD or similar
