Additional Information:
- This role is Permanent Part-time, 60hrs/fortnight.
- The internal job title for this role is Good Flow Co-worker.
- An existing valid forklift licence is required for this position.
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work early mornings starting from 2am. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
- If your application is successful, you may be invited to complete a video interview as part of the recruitment process.
- If your application is progressed, you will be invited to attend a Group Assessment Centre onsite Wednesday 6 March.
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-full day Welcome induction.
- If successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 18 March 2024.
About this work area
As a Warehouse Co-worker (Forklift Driver) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Contribute to the highest goods availability for customers by the correct and on-time execution of the store goods flow tasks.
- Demonstrating a safe and efficient approach to secure that all stock is in the right place at the right time.
- Working with a hands-on approach where you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, in a fast paced and physically demanding team environment with tight deadlines.
- Handling of goods using different types of forklifts to complete tasks such as storing/retrieving, replenishment and internal transportation of stock within the store warehouse.
- Ensuring IKEA SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) rules and guidelines are followed throughout the process to ensure the safety of both customers and co-workers.
As a Warehouse Co-worker (Forklift Driver) you are and/or have:
- Experience in driving forklifts (high reach & counterbalance) and hold a valid forklift (LF) licence.
- The ability to think and act in a safe and efficient manner, to ensure smooth goods flow operation.
- Passionate to contribute to an optimal logistics operation and embody a 'Togetherness' mindset where you'll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
- Able to demonstrate a strong customer focus, ensuring we keep the customer in mind no matter what we do.
- Energetic and comfortable with physical work and manual handling, including repetitive lifting and adopt a safety-first mindset.
