The Warehouse Manager plays a pivotal role at BITZER, optimising our supply chain operations and driving excellence in our distribution and warehousing functions. This role works closely with the wider BITZER team, including senior leadership team.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will support and report to the Managing Director by liaising with the BITZER Teams, contributing to keeping track of the BITZER distribution network.
This role will be located at Erskine Park until December, moving toSt Marys, NSW in December 2024.
A day in the life…
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for:
- Supervise and support the team of Warehouse Operatives in line with BITZER’s values and expectations.
- Identify optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Oversee and support the Warehouse Team to ensure shipments are received and despatched on time.
- Produce and manage KPIs ensuring all appropriate KPIs are visible to the team and reported to management on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure the Warehouse is maintained and cleaned by the team, inclusive of provided equipment and daily housekeeping.
- Ensure attention to detail is maintained throughout sorting, labelling, and recording all inward and outward goods in the ERP system.
- Work with the Warehouse team to ensure inventory is organised and in the correct locations physically in the warehouse and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system / Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM).
- Analyse current inventories and procedures and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and business profitability.
- Stay up to date on all WHS requirements and regulations, promoting a safe work environment.
About you
The ideal candidate is a team player with strong leadership, communication, people skills, an ability to think strategically about warehousing. The ideal candidate will also have:
- Practical experience in a warehousing leadership role.
- Proven leadership skills and experience leading, with ability to influence and build up teams involved in warehousing in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid commercial judgement, with ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and make value-adding business decisions.
- Strategic operator who is open to drive innovative approaches.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders, with clear communication.
- Data experience with ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP or similar) and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, warehousing, or related field.
