Position Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Hand plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth functioning of the business through Warehouse Operations.
This position reports to and works very closely with the Warehouse Operations Supervisor. Naturally disciplined and organised, you will support all warehouse activities including the daily assembly of bolt patterns, cutting cables, and sewing netting together.
The role will have a very strong emphasis on following instructions, punctuality, efficiency, and reliability. As a vital member of the warehouse team, you will be trained to support high end production jobs and given the opportunity to grow and learn all about the sports and facilities industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with sewing, measuring, cutting and preparing orders.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, sorting, and shelving incoming goods.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to established procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock records through labelling and use of technology.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and achieve operational goals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including cleaning and tidying work areas.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate tasks and address any issues that arise.
- Participate in training programs and skill development activities to enhance job performance and readiness for advancement.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Warehouse Operations and procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and or willingness to learn to operate sewing machines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
