The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney. 
  
WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Operations Lead.Role Description:

As the Warehouse Operations Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Warehouse Operations, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods and materials. You will lead a team, manage inventory, coordinate with stakeholders, and enforce safety standards. Your role will involve utilizing ERP and CRM software to optimize warehouse processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise Warehouse Operations, ensuring efficient and safe handling of goods and materials
  • Manage and motivate a team of warehouse personnel, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety protocols
  • Oversee inventory management processes, including stock control and cycle counting
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to optimize Warehouse Operations
  • Implement and enforce warehouse safety standards and procedures
  • Collaborate with management to implement changes and improvements in warehouse processes
  • Utilize ERP and CRM software (e.g., SAP) for efficient warehouse and inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to Warehouse Operations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
Certificates (Must have):

  • First Aid Certification
  • CPR Certification
  • Forklift Operation Accreditation
  • Construction Safety Training (White Card)
  • Valid Driving License
Certificates (Optional / Advantageous / Bonus):
  • Rail Industrial Worker (RIW Card)
  • Warehouse Management Certificate / Degree
  • Inventory Management Certificate / Degree
  • Chain of Responsibility (COR)
Skills (Must have):
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a team leader in a warehouse environment
  • Experience leading a team of at least 10 people
  • Experience managing contractual workers
  • Experience with management change processes
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proven strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations
  • Understanding of warehouse and logistics processes
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PDF)
  • Can-do attitude with a focus on success
  • Experience as a first-line supervisor with truck drivers
  • Experience in first-line customer service
  • Experience with ERP and CRM software, preferably SAP
Skills (Optional / Advantageous / Bonus):
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Warehouse Operations / Inventory Leader
  • Knowledge of warehouse and logistic operations
  • Experience in inventory management
  • Experience with construction projects
  • Knowledge of construction safety regulations
  • Residence within the local area
  • Continuous improvement skills and attitude
  • SAP Material Management and Inventory experience
