CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
The CDNM is seeking an inaugural part-time Chief Executive Officer. CDNM is the peak organisation that represents universities that offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs in nursing and midwifery throughout Australia and New Zealand. With 45 members CDNM is committed to improving the health of Australians and New Zealanders through continual improvement in nursing and midwifery education and research. CDNM works collaboratively to advocate on behalf of members and increase CDNMs impact on relevant policy decisions and action. https://www.cdnm.edu.au
Under the direction of the Board, the CEO will develop and drive the organisation’s policy and advocacy initiatives, develop effective relationships with members, government and nursing and midwifery education and training stakeholders; represent the organisation as required and manage the business of CDNM.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
- Relevant Masters or higher qualifications
- Demonstrated experience at an executive level in government, health or education sectors
- Strong strategic thinking skills
- Well-developed advisory, advocacy and relationship building skills and political acumen
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Demonstrated successful experience with membership-based organisations or another not-for-profit organisation will be highly regarded
- A well-developed understanding of the health and education sectors and the intersections between them
The CEO will be appointed for 24 hours per week and location will be dependent on the successful applicant although ideally a location in Canberra, Sydney or Melbourne is preferred with working from home an option. Total remuneration package will be $110,000.
