The Role
This position is accountable for providing a warehousing and logistics service to manage the receiving, storing, and issuing of parts and materials. The Storeperson is responsible for adhering and maintaining the Warehousing & Logistics business processes and systems including setting up the master data in SAP to receive, store and issue all parts and materials safely and efficiently. This includes the managing of min/max stock levels, reordering, instore maintenance, picking and consolidation for issuing, and parts staging for shutdowns.
This is a Permanent Full Time FIFO position ex Perth to our Mt Holland site on an 8:6 roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Active participation in the establishment of a health and safety culture.
- Ensure a safe working environment where all work is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements and Covalent policies & procedures.
- Ensure all health, safety and environmental incidents are reported.
- Responsible for the daily and weekly activities of safely and efficiently receiving, picking, and issuing of parts and materials following the Warehousing and Logistics processes.
- Ensure statutory compliance of all items in storage as well as Chain of Responsibility compliance when sending items off site.
- Maintain material master data required for the efficient management of parts and materials.
- Identify risks that have the capacity to compromise any business objectives and escalate concerns for mitigation of potential impacts.
- Drive value creation across the Warehousing & Logistics function by implementing continuous improvement in line with Operational Excellence.
- Liaison with 3PL logistics on operational matters.
- Serve as Covalent on site at 3PL
Role Requirements
- Warehousing Certificate III
- Trade qualifications with proven planning and organising experience
- Competent with ERP System (SAP or Pronto desirable).
- Knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations pertaining to warehousing facilities and storage of Dangerous Goods.
- HR Licence.
- Forklift Licence.
