AddressKarara Mining Limited (KML) is a joint venture between Gindalbie Metals Limited and AnSteel, one of the largest iron ore producers and steel makers in China. Located 200km south-east of Geraldton, Western Australia, Karara is the largest mining operation and the first major magnetite mine in the Mid-West. It produces a premium, high-grade concentrate product for export to steelmakers.
With an expected mine life of 30+ years, it will underpin a long-term iron ore business and provide sustainable benefits to the regional community in which we operate. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Supervisorto provide supervision and direct daily Warehousing and Logistics activities on our mine site.
This includes receipting, item checking, discrepancies, storage, transportation, cyclic counting, bin location maintenance, parts preservation and issuing company inventory in accordance with Karara standards, policies and procedures.
As a leader you will be charged with directing all Warehousing functions while providing adequate levels of supervision, coaching, mentoring and advice to Warehouse Officers and subordinates in safe warehousing and transportation techniques.
A primary function will be to ensure the security of Karara’s assets are maintained and provide accurate information and data to help support the Maintenance and Operation of the business.
This role operates on an 8 days on and 6 days off roster.
Essential experience and requirements;
- Possessing a team-oriented attitude with an ability to lead effectively
- Be a role-model for safe work practices and display positive safety leadership to all
- Western Australian C Class Drivers Licence
- High Risk Work License – Forklift and Reach Truck
- Proven experience in a Stores and/or Warehousing role in mining or other heavy industry
- Demonstrated experience in a Warehousing / Supply supervisory role leading a small to medium size team
- Advanced knowledge and experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system including SAP
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to understand, maintain and enforce established policies and procedures within the workplace
- Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Permanent Australian work rights
- National Police clearance
