About the role:
As part of the Erskine Park Warehouse Department, this role reports to the Operations Manager & will work with warehouse automation (AMR) to ensure all service levels meet agreed upon contractual KPIs & budgeted resources during the Afternoon Shift (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm).
What you will be doing:
Staff Management & Leadership
Handle performance issues promptly & professionally
Ensure employees are completing their tasks & meeting set deadlines
Ensure employees are working the required hours & minimising the need for overtime through correct planning
Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations & demonstrating high standards of work practices & safety conscious behaviour
Ensure the companies politics & procedures when undertaking your duties are followed at all times
Quality Management
Ensure all staff are trained on all processes according to SOP’s / WI’s
Ensure errors are minimised through proper training and investigation
Conduct proper root cause analysis and corrective actions for all errors
Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock stakes & audit of same to verify results
Profitability
Maximise profit through system enhancement & re-engineering existing business operational processes
Continuously monitor warehouse performance & activities through the use of KPIs, with a primary focus on cost controls
Control Warehouse expenses (eg. Packing material etc) to a reasonable level
Requirements
The successful candidate:
Essential:
Minimum twelve months of supervisor experience managing a medium-sized team
Experience working in a warehouse 3PL environment
Experience using a WMS (Warehouse Management System) & RF Scanners
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Intermediate level MS Excel
Desirable:
Strong understanding of profit & loss
Excellent time management & organisational skills
Ability to multitask & prioritise tasks
