We currently have an opportunity for a Waste Business Unit Coordinator to join the Waste Team. As a Waste Business Unit Coordinator you will get to:

  • Assist to coordinate the effective and efficient operation of the waste and recycling collection service.
  • Coordinate the efficient operation of the waste, recycling and Business Unit hire services.
  • Effectively coordinate and supervise multi-disciplinary teams applicable to the position.
  • Promote the image of Council as an efficient courteous and professional organisation.

What we offer...

  • Permanent full time, 38 hours per week
  • Annual salary from $84,076.72 to $99,679.32 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
  • Plus 11% superannuation
  • Phone, laptop and leaseback

What you'll need to be successful in the role...

  • Certificate IV in Waste Management or equivalent
  • Class HC Drivers Licence
  • Experience working in the waste and recycling industry
  • Experience supervising staff with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills
  • Excellent customer service and conflict resolutions skills
  • Experience completing rosters, timesheets, work schedules and risk assessments
  • Experience driving heavy vehicles requiring a Class HC Driver’s Licence and Safe Work LF Certificate.
