About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated waste educator to join our passionate team, as we work towards our goal of motivating the community to achieving zero waste to landfill. You will deliver education and engagement programs that build, support, and strengthen a community culture that is striving to achieve zero waste while delivering environmentally responsible and cost-effective recycling and waste services for our community.

Skills, experience and certificates

  • Possession of an AQF recognised tertiary qualification (diploma or higher) in a field relevant to the position.
  • Advanced skills in initiating, developing, planning and implementing educational and community change programs.
  • Exceptional personal communication skills including the preparation and delivery of educational materials, and digital promotion.
  • Well-developed customer service, conflict resolution, time management and administration skills.
  • High developed analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to write reports on waste, sustainability and education management topics.
  • Knowledge and experience in Waste Management and or Environmental Sustainability practices applicable to local government waste services. (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in significant community change that impacts at the household level. (desirable)
