ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our Client, a Tier 1 Iron Ore Producer based in the Pilbara, is seeking an passionate and drive Water Intensity/Efficiency Specialist Engineer to work closely with Principal of Water Intensity and Water banking on rolling out multiple Water projects across the business.
Working within a team and driving environmental change; this role will have a Project orientation. This is a role for someone who has a strong interest in water conservation, loves to manage projects while using their technical knowledge, strong communication skills and engineering expertise to roll out projects that will make positive changes within the Company.
With some works commencing already; the hiring leads are motivated to find an operations interface team member who can liaise with stakeholders from Supervisory level to General Managers on site to manage tangible outcomes for the Water team.
SCOPE:
- Integral role within a Water team of 10, you will have a diverse set of skill sets to identify, develop & communicate water management best practices across the company operations; distributing shared learnings to contribute to the company being a leader in Water Management
- Hydraulic modelling standards development, circulation and implementation including the defining the appropriate governance structures and approach
- Supporting teams with solutions and strategies for water banking, with solutions based technical advise for teams when lacking water
- This role would suit someone who has worked on Water Solutions within the Mining Industry; whether your background is Hydro Geo, Ops Enviro, Process Eng...whatever your background is, if it leads you to water and solutions, we are considering options!
- You will have solid experience with technical drawings, standards & documentation development
- You will need to have the ability to influence and build consensus; persuade (lets get them hyped) stakeholders across diverse technical and operational backgrounds
- Utilise your self motivation, passion and drive work towards a great future in water resources for the Mining sector
- 5 days per week in CBD office; with some site visits necessary (approx 2 visits per month; for 1-2 days per visit)
- Initial 12 month requirement
- 11% super paid on all hours
- 5-10 years experience Engineering within the Mining Sector
- 2 years in Water Solutions great advantage
- Engineering Degree
- National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
- Minimum C Class (unrestricted) license
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical & LABDAS
- RTIO Inductions (Adv)
