Job Description
Key accountabilities:
Ensure Reliability and Quality of Geothermal Water Delivery Systems
- Provide expertise in the operation, design, construction, and maintenance of group Water Systems to promote efficiency, reliability and continuous improvement.
- Develop Water Systems operational performance parameters and reports.
- Develop processes and procedures relating to water infrastructure, its maintenance, repair, and operation.
- Ensure the retention, management, and use of water information to enable accurate reporting of current water use and prediction of future water use
- Develop and optimise SCADA operation strategies for water management and data recording.
- Maintain quality of water services by contributing to asset management and renewal plans.
- Ensure that the Client is protected against loss (financial or otherwise) through robust processes and practices.
- Assist in the design and development of new experiences and infrastructure, ensuring water usage obligations are considered.
- Continually refine and develop processes to improve water management practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders (guests/business partners/contractors etc) as required, ensuring all necessary stakeholders are appropriately informed and/or consulted
- Working with internal departments as required to support Water Systems and asset renewal decision making.
- Develop and foster proactive and professional relationships with all employees, external stakeholders, associates, and guests in line with the Client values.
- Supervision of contractors to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, and that contractor performance meets industry and Client standards
- Risk management in line with company policy, ensuring SOP's and risk assessments are completed ensuring compliance with legal responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all necessary regulatory requirements and legislation
- Ensure compliance of OHS regulations, company policies and procedures, and any company directives, in relation to workplace health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment that is free of risks to health so far as is reasonably practicable including
> Safe systems of work and safe operating and maintenance of equipment
> Providing employees, contractors, and visitors the necessary information, instruction, training or supervision to enable them to do their work in a way that is safe and without risks to health
The Successful Applicant
Essential skills & Experience:
- Degree qualified in engineering, either mechanical or environmental, or equivalent water relate qualifications.
- Previous experience in the water, wastewater or water recycling facility management, engineering, or asset management.
- Experience in the development of engineering drawings
- Agile learner who actively learns through experimentation and experience and seeks ways to grow and to be challenged by new and novel conditions.
- Highly developed ability to communicate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior staff, technical specialists, and community members.
- Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and motivating and have the capacity to negotiate and resolve conflict.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with sound financial planning and budgeting skills.
- Strong computer skills, where experience with CAD, GIS and hydraulic design and modelling software would be highly regarded.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to the purpose and values in a purpose-led organisation
- Working with Children Check and Police check
