We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Treatment Operator to join our dynamic team. As a crucial member of our organisation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of our Water Treatment processes.

  • You are experienced in the operation of small and miscellaneous plant
  • You are a natural problem solver who can find solutions to unique operational issues
  • You are self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Essential qualifications and experience:

  • Certificate in Water Operations including the use and maintenance of fluoride dosing systems and equipment.
  • Contemporary knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of Water Treatment Plants, including materials handling process, plant and equipment.
  • Contemporary knowledge of the Confined Spaces Act and other legislation concerning maintenance and operation of sewage pump stations.
  • Basic computer and information technology skills.
  • Sound mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake duties in a manner consistent with a culture of customer service excellence and Council’s values – Leadership, Excellence, Accountability and Delivery.
  • Ability to work on a roster for overtime and emergency “call out” work.
  • Current WHS Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
  • Current Drivers Licence.

Desirable: 

  • Current NSW Class MR license.
  • Trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical fitting.
