Water Truck Operator

Council’s Parks & Recreation Branch is recruiting for the position of Water Truck Operator.

Position Objectives
The officer will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and caring for trees planted in streets, parks, medians, and natural areas in accordance with adopted watering programs and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Current driver’s license with minimum medium rigid truck endorsement.
• Extensive experience in the field of gardening or arboriculture.
• Experience in the safe operation of chainsaws and wood chippers.
• Experience in the operation of medium to heavy plant and equipment.
• Experience in the planting and establishment of trees.
• Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.

Salary and Conditions
The position is classified within Band 3 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $63,885.12 to $67,907.84 per annum plus industry and maintenance allowance, and statutory superannuation.
