As the operator in this team, you will predominantly be responsible for monitoring, controlling and operation of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, recycling facilities and associated infrastructure. - Monitor, control and operate water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, recycling facilities and associated infrastructure.
- This position participates in the after-hours / on-call roster system. Providing support for activities at water treatment plants including SCADA response and after-hours / on call support for operational requirements.
- Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of Quality and Drinking Water Quality Management Plans
- Current Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator’s Certificate III, with relevant water and wastewater industry experience.
- Current Confined Space Entry Certificate or a willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement.
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate or a willingness to obtain within 6 months of commencement.
- Current Self Contain Breathing Apparatus Statement of Attainment, if not held must obtain within 6 months of commencement.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- “LF” Class forklift License or a willingness to obtain, within 6 months of commencement (Council will support training to obtain licence.
- Demonstrated ability to understand directions and to communicate effectively.
- Sound numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
