About the role

The Website Content Manager is responsible for maintaining VCAT's website and supporting our other digital channels.

Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation, you will play a key role in providing accurate, accessible information to the thousands of Victorians who use VCAT every year.

As part of the Human Centred Design team, you will also play an important role in VCAT's innovative Service Transformation Project, developing content for new digital portals to assist users to manage their applications.

Duties include:

  • Managing all aspects of the VCAT website
  • Developing a range of accessible communications to a high level of accuracy
  • Supporting VCAT's social media channels
  • Managing production of multi-media content and assets
  • Participating in user research and the development of VCAT's online applications.

About you

  • Excellent editorial skills with demonstrated ability to write plain language on complex topics and manage content development through stringent approval processes. Experience in legal or government services or other complex stakeholder environments is highly desirable.
  • Extensive website management experience, including developing and publishing content using a content management system (Drupal experience highly desirable) and collaborating with digital service providers on CMS maintenance and development of website functionality.
  • Experience tracking website and social analytics and providing targeted reporting to stakeholders to drive improvement in content and user engagement.
  • Experience creating multimedia content and assets using a range of tools (eg. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, Miro).
  • Demonstrated digital communications project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards – including Victorian and Federal digital standards, WCAG and the Australian Government Style Manual.
  • Knowledge and experience creating content for a variety of people, including creating Easy English content and content for people with disabilities.
  • Experience planning and facilitating user research, with the demonstrated ability to evaluate research methodologies and techniques to fit specific contexts and timelines. Experience planning and facilitating content testing and validation across a variety of mediums.
  • Capacity to be a strategic thinker, with strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and a demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
