Wedding & Events Co-ordinator

Bearded Dragon Hotel is known as Scenic Rim's iconic Hotel in the Paddocks, sitting on 5 acres of beautiful, licensed Tamborine country! This is a unique and exciting job opportunity and is a hands-on role delivering Events  to completion, generating new business sales leads  and following up with clients. Work at a beautiful venue alongside a fantastic team, creating special moments that our clients will treasure forever! Love a challenge or want to sink your teeth into something new? No two days are the same at the Bearded Dragon, we host all kinds of Events from Live Music Gigs, Weddings, Corporate Functions, School Graduations, Bus groups, Mammoth Markets and so much more! We are looking for a new team member to work closely alongside our Events & Hospitality team while we ramp up our Events offerings in 2024 and beyond.

Full Time or Part Time position available for the right candidate.
About the Role:
- Work alongside our Events Team and our International Chefs who have a depth of event experience to create unique events & tailored experiences
- Flexible Daily Duties at our Venue 
- Following up inquiries via email, phone and in-person & generate new Sales leads and opportunities.
- Client Liason and building rapport
- On the day/evening coordination 
- Work alongside our Creative Team to create new and exciting package offerings
- Strong Communication Skills & Qualified in all aspects of food & beverage hospitality.
- Help build a portfolio of Events for the business (and yourself!) 

- Excellent remuneration for right candidate

Requirements for the position:
- Reliability with Own car or Reliable Transport
- Rotating roster with Weekday and Weekend work required 
- Min. 1 year experience in Event Management, Event Coordinator or Similar Hospitality Role
- Food & Beverage knowledge and qualifications required
- A passion for creating and delivering incredible Events with a high attention to detail. 
- Strong Communication Skills & High level office skills.

Must be available to work flexible hours and weekends as required.
Computer skills, Management systems, online accommodation channels and front office program experience required. Must be willing to be trained in all facets of business and willing to do a variety of hospitality work.
