The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Wedgetail Sustainment Program Director to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. The role is to be based in Williamtown however strong candidates from other Boeing locations (Amberley or Brisbane) will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of over 350 people supporting the RAAF E-7A Wedgetail including its support and training systems
  • Ensure strong performance to key performance measures, whilst seeking to maximise value to the customer
  • Participate as a key member of the Divisional Leadership Team in driving outstanding workplace culture and business results
  • Work as part of the global E-7 team sharing knowledge and driving efficiencies across the global E-7 business
  • Customer relationship management with CASG and RAAF stakeholders

Experience/Qualifications

  • Experienced in providing services to government and defence partners, complex work package development and integration of new and emergent technology;
  • Strong proficiency in delivering financial performance in a dynamic environment
  • Experience in program governance including meeting legislative and Boeing Enterprise requirements;
  • Experienced in leading multi-disciplined workforces, creating, planning, integrating and delivering to our programs, stakeholders and customers through creating an engaging, positive and effective workforce;
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience to influence internal and external stakeholders;
  • An excellent communicator who can engage and motivate diverse and geographically dispersed teams;
  • Outcome focused and able to demonstrate strong values-based leadership;
  • Systematic and logical with high proficiency in problem-solving skills;
  • Able to work on multiple work items and balance priorities whilst ensuring workforce deliver excellence in Engineering.

You will need to have:

  • Significant experience leading projects and programs that involve cross-functional and/or cross-business domains;
  • Significant experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, team members, and all levels of leadership;
  • Ability to travel to Boeing Australia and Defence sites for engagement, leadership events and project analysis activities will be required from time to time. US / International trips as required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • MBA or other business qualification;
  • Knowledge of engineering, and sustainment processes relating to the Defence and/or Aerospace industries;
  • Experience leading multinational teams
