QUARRY WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATOR / CONCRETE PLANT BATCHER
PRONTO CONCRETE & MT COTTON QUARRY are seeking a Concrete Plant Batcher-Allocators &/or Weighbridge Operator whose primary focus will involve batching and allocating concrete in accordance with quality standards and customer requirements.
Position available at Mt Cotton Qld
- Training provided - applicants who have a genuine desire to learn and possess the ability should apply.
The key responsibilities:
- Meet customer requirements by ensuring quality product delivered
- Accurate batching of orders utilising the Command Batch computer system
- Allocation/scheduling of trucks ensuring timely concrete/quarry deliveries
- Operate computer-based weighbridge system - taking accurate customer phone orders and effecting delivery of products
- Carry out some quarry safety inductions for contractors, truck drivers and visitors
- Undertake day to day administration activities including stock control of raw materials
- Multi task and at times work under pressure to meet customer requirements
- Answer phone calls and provide customer support
- Work as part of a very small office team
- Must be reliable and punctual
- General yard and plant housekeeping and maintenance
- Follow company systems including working safely
The key skills, experience and attributes:
- Knowledge or experience in computerised batching system or weighbridge system is desirable but not essential - training provided
- An ability to multi task and at times work under pressure
- Possess an excellent customer service phone manner
- Current HR driver's licence would be an advantage
- Possess excellent time management and organisational skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- A proven ability to work safely and within a team environment
We are looking for a hands on person who likes customer service and office work but has most probably had a previous background in the concreting, trucking, quarrying or transport industries as either a driver, operator or administrator.
The nature of our work requires you to work as part of a team and you will need to be flexible with how your hours are worked Monday to Saturday as there will be varying start and finish times.
