- Read blueprints and specs to understand what needs to be built
- Use metalworking tools (presses, brakes, drills, saws) to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Weld everything together perfectly using MIG welding
- Keep your workspace clean and safe
- Follow all safety rules
- Welding or fabrication certification (or at least 3 years experience)
- Experience with big machines is a plus
- Must be proficient at reading technical drawings
- Your MIG welding skills must be top-notch
- Pay close attention to detail and take pride in your work
- You can work independently and also collaborate with others
- Must possess the strength to carry large objects.
