The opportunity
Cut, shape, join, and weld metals together for KLMSA projects both large and small. This includes duties that support the activities associated with metal fabrication. As part of your responsibilities you will;
Perform oxy/acetylene fuel gas welding
Perform mig welding
Carry out mechanical cutting
Perform manual and gas metal arc welding
Undertake manual handling
Organise and communicate information.
Use hand held and bench-mounted power tools
Interpret technical drawings
Mark out structural fabrications and shapes
Apply fabrication, forming and shaping techniques
Assemble fabricated components
Repair, replace and/or modify fabrications
Work safely and effectively in the KLMSA engineering environment
About you
Welding experience is required
Willing to learn and develop skills necessary to perform the role
Formal qualifications are desired but not essential
Ability to work to strict deadlines, well organised and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work in a team and interact with relevant stakeholders
